	5. GENERAL ACTION At the head of the line, Erfprins and Berwick come together and engage in a ferocious point-blank duel. The British flagship Fortitude passes inside the Dolphin and engages the Admiraal Generaal. Preston and Princess Amelia continue to close the range to the rear, still under heavy fire.


	6. THE BRITISH REAR ENGAGES The Preston reaches the Dutch line, and fires through her fallen rigging. Heavily damaged, she takes fire and begins to burn despite the efforts of the crew. The Princess Amelia and the Dolphin (now back under control) now break the line, raking fore and aft as they do so. However, they are now too heavily damaged to turn the tide of the battle.


	7. PELL-MELL ACTION The action breaks up into a series of short-range duels. The Dolphin's course runs her foul of the Argo. Preston's fire reaches the water-line and she strikes, prompting the crews of the Dolphin and Buffalo to withdraw from action. With only the Flagship's morale holding steady, the British commander ceases action.
